Borrisokane CC Erasmus trip to Spain

Writer: BCCFutureErasmusBCCFutureErasmus

On Sunday 24th of March a group of six students and two teachers flew from Dublin to Madrid. We met up with the other countries taking part in this Erasmus+ project and we drove to Villaneuva de los Infantes. We met our Spanish partners and we went to their houses. On Monday morning we had an opening ceremony at the school and all the countries presented their work on their stories so far. We played some icebreaker games and we participated in robotic workshops. In the evening we had a welcoming party at the school with the parents. On Tuesday we had a day trip to Madrid, where we visited the robotics museum and participated in games and workshops. That afternoon we took part in a guided tour of Madrid. On Wednesday we did further workshops and went for a traditional Spanish lunch in the town square. That evening we had a reception with the mayor of Infantes and went on a walking tour of the town. On Thursday we went on a day trip to Ruidera national park and lakes. We participated in many adventure sports such as ziplining, kayaking, rock climbing, archery followed by a hike.

On our final day, Friday, we took part in a cooking class where we learned how to make Spanish omelettes. Finally we said our goodbyes to everyone and made our departure to home. It was a fantastic trip and we all made memories that will stick with us forever.
